As we transition to warmer temperatures, Nike is offering its beloved Air Max 97 with a tinge of orange. The silhouette’s upper first arrives with a division between “Black” and “Metallic Silver” — the former landing on the leather and mesh mudguards, while the latter makes its way on to the piping and eyelets against a white mesh base. The Nike Air Max 97 “Black Orange” features a breathable white mesh upper overlaid with wavy lines inspired by the rippling aftereffects of a single drop of water. Reflective detailing allows the flowing silver overlays to shine in low-light conditions, while an embroidered orange Swoosh stands out against a black mesh side panel and matching leather mudguard. The same vibrant hue is repeated on the sneaker’s groundbreaking full-length Max Air unit.
