The shoe Nike SB entered the market with was the Dunk. Originally designed as a basketball shoe, the Dunk made its debut in 1985. When it couldn’t compete with the Air Jordan, it was retired in 1988. In 2002, it was re-imagined as the SB Dunk and finally connected with an audience. Since then, the SB Dunk has been a mainstay for Nike. The Nike SB Dunk is available in low, mid and high tops. This is a shoe with a sense of humor. One notable recent collaboration is with Ben & Jerry’s, the Nike SB Dunk Low Chunky Dunky. The SB Dunk Low Raygun Tie-Dye Black has a playful feel. Other popular versions include the SB Dunk Low Supreme Jewel Swoosh in the Metallic Silver colorway.
