Nike’s celebration of Black History Month continues with a limited-edition colorway of the new Nike PG 3. The PG 3 “Black History Month” is marked by assorted African-style prints—a recurring motif throughout Nike’s 2019 BHM collection. Inspired by US athletes exploring and celebrating more and more their Afro-American heritage. The basketball sneaker features a mesh upper with Air Zoom cushioning in the forefoot and a built-in tongue. The rest of the design emerges in a more neutral grey knit, supported by a forefoot overlay. The heel includes teal stitching and ‘BHM’ branding, while underfoot, the white Zoom Air midsole is accented by a gold Swoosh. Underfoot, the outsole incorporates a traction pattern inspired by the moon.
